Dr. Kathy Cowan Sahadath

PhD, MA, MBA

Author · Educator · Leadership Strategist

Kathy is a business leader, educator, and writer working at the intersection of leadership, organizational change, and systems transformation. For over thirty years, she has studied how people navigate disruption, complexity, and meaningful change—not through mandate, but through conversation, reflection, and shared sensemaking.

Her focus is how leadership is lived in practice: how leaders align purpose, culture, and strategy in real organizational contexts—and what it takes to build trust when the future is uncertain.

Education & Research

Kathy’s thinking is rooted in psychology, organizational development, project management, and systems theory:

Bachelor of Science | Psychology

MBA | Project Management

PhD | Human and Organizational Systems

Her doctoral research explored a central question: How do senior leaders use conversation to shape and sustain organizational change? That inquiry continues to inform her frameworks, teaching, and writing—exploring how dialogue functions as both a leadership capability and a pathway to meaningful transformation.

Her research and practice intersect through academic publications, executive education programs, and conference presentations—all focused on human-centered approaches to change.

These narratives reveal the relational and reflective sides of modern work and life—inviting readers to experience leadership and change emotionally, not only intellectually. Her storytelling also informs her approach to education and consulting, helping her create more inclusive, resonant ways of learning and communicating across fields and generations.
